Abstract

The veterinary drug pharmaceutical industry is undergoing significant changes and substantial growth, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic period. During social isolation, there was a notable increase of 400% in the adoption of domestic animals, boosting the demand for veterinary items such as hygiene products, beautification and, especially, medicines. This scenario has led pharmaceutical industries to adapt and improve their operations to meet the growing needs of the population. In the regulatory context, the veterinary drug industries are subject to the legislation established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA). This body plays a fundamental role in the inspection, release and guidance of companies in the sector, with the aim of ensuring the quality, safety and effectiveness of all products intended for veterinary use. Employees in this sector play a crucial role in verifying that all Good Manufacturing Practices procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, use of Personal Protective Equipment, clothing and other related activities are being properly executed in accordance with the rules and regulations established by MAPA. This attention to legal compliance and operational excellence is critical to ensuring the integrity of veterinary products and consumer trust.
